About the flag

The national flag of the Kingdom of Eastern Zartania has been little changed since it was first introduced in the year 3AP (1067). Red, black, and white have always been traditional Eastern Zartanian colors, and can be traced back at least to the uniforms worn by the soldiers under the first confederation of duchies in the early 200s BP (860s). The gold crown represents the continuity of the monarchy, while the crossed anchor and sword represent the reliance on a strong military that has always been the hallmark of Eastern Zartania. The crossed anchor and sword were introduced in late 298AP (1362) to replace the traditional Eastern Zartanian triblade symbol.
