Description

The Ezo flag features a white cross within a black cross, placed on a gold field. The concentric crosses are offset slightly toward the hoist.

Status of the flag

In January 317AP, the Elafites and Zufites were invaded and annexed by the Greater Zartanian Empire to combat piracy and general lawlessness due to years of economic depression. With Ezo's incorporation into the Empire, the status of the kingdom's flag was called into question. According to Zartanian Interior Minister Kestra Andrèv, the Empire's flag will be the supreme one within the Elafites and Zufites, but will only be required to be flown at official government facilities (including ports and airports), where it will fly alongside the Ezo flag. Additionally, the Ezo flag will continue to represent the Ezo people in lieu of the Zartanian flag, and may be flown from businesses, schools, and private residences either singly or in concert with the Imperial flag. Likewise, the Ezo flag will continue to be flown on ships of the Ezo Coast Guard and at garrisons of the National Guard. The flag will also continue to represent Ezo national sports teams, including at the Vex Cup and Vexilliad Games.
